One of the hot topics of speculation appearing in the media has been swiftly denied by Antonio Conte.

Rumours that the first-team squad were not happy with the amount of training they have to do have been swiftly rebuked by Antonio Conte.

At his pre-match press conference, ahead of the visit of Watford this Saturday lunch-time, Conte remarked about the on-going claim,

‘I don’t know about this.”

Before confirming that due to the sheer quantity of games the players are having to play that the squad was doing 70% less training than last season.

Continuing, Conte claimed that the poor run of recent results was down to the fact Chelsea have been playing so regularly with Conte explaining,

‘When you play every three days it’s impossible to work on the tactical aspect and physical aspect.

‘I think we are paying less attention in every detail.’

And as for feeling the pressure, the Italian pointed out,

‘I think every coach, every manager has to feel the pressure.

‘When I go to my house I’m happy because I know in every moment I put all myself in my job for this club, for the fans, for my players.

‘But you know very well anything can happen in football.’

Yes, it can, especially at Chelsea Football Club.
