News appears to breaking that all is not well between Antonio Conte and the Chelsea hierarchy.

Daily Record are reporting that the Italian One is unhappy with the lack of transfers that have, most notably, not been done during his time with the club.

That`s not the only issue though, the sourced report alleges that Conte is also asking for direct line of contact to Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia. He also wants to fully oversee the academy and to have a say over who the academy boss is and the coaching replacement for Steve Holland.

Conte believes major investment is needed if we are to compete on all fronts next season, something we can all agree on. Chelsea`s recent record in terms of incoming signings has been poor, should it continue we are in danger of becoming known as a selling club.

When it comes to selling players though we are punching above our weight. The money that has come in is nothing short of phenomenal. It`s about time we started to splash that cash.

Should the worst happen and Conte walks away, and he has done before, we are supposedly lining-up ex Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel as a ‘short-notice` replacement. If you add Chelsea`s love of swapping managers and Conte`s record of walking away from clubs, as he did at Juventus in 2014, there is possibly a cause for concern.

Conte`s current contract runs until 2019 and an extension was due to be announced at the end of the season. It would appear at this time, an agreement has not been reached and will very much depend on some of the above demands being agreed. Tense times.

  • Two things Duncan Castles started this story, he is a mouthpiece for Mendes, and has no inside Chelsea contacts anymore . Second Conte is still on holidays with his family . One other story doing the rounds is that the Bakayoko deal has broken down, seems we are not willing to meet Monaco’s 40 euro evaluation .

  • we shouldn’t try that! if the papers are correct, that’s one he’ll of a mess. I hope the mess costa has brought is not starting to find its way.? dressing room unrest is the least tin we need this season.

  • This is the least thing that we need now after a great season. if these stories are true then then board should be held responsible for whatever happens. We cannot afford to lose Conte now.

  • Calm down guys, Conte is still on holiday with his family , this is just the usual jorno garbage , and started by a man with no love for Chelsea (Duncan Castles ). Putting aside the Costa saga, everyday the papers claim someone is leaving or that we are in crisis .

  • There is something I do not understand about these three legs of Chelsea, the owner, the board and the coach (we fans are the fourth leg). They don’t appear to be in consonance. Last season was a very successful one for us and we are supposed to build on it. Granted that most British pundits and media would do everything to undermine other challenging teams like Chelsea just to make sure Man U remain at the top of EPL, must we play into their hands? All of our rivals that are arguably stronger and deeper than last season us are already strengthening up. Meanwhile, our name has been linked with many, many players just to later hear they have stayed put or gone to another team. Rather, we are just dismantling the structure we already have. Costa is leaving, Hazard and Matic might go, Courtois is having contract problem and now, Conte might be sacked with another coach in stand by. What is going on? Is this how to build a big team? Ten coaches in almost as many years? I see Arsenal as our arch rival. But I respect them for keeping a great coach for over twenty years and still keepin him, despite no PL cup for over a decade. We need to give our coach the leverage and time he needs to be successful. Again what is the problem? We have sold Mikel, Oscar, Begovic and others, yet we have not brought in anyone. Exactly what we did two years ago that landed us in the mid table. If Abrahamovic feels this is too much to handle, maybe he can source for partners. We need to build on our success, else, we will be peaking one year and below par the other year like a sine wave. I am anxious.

  • We will do our business when the time is right for Chelsea. There is plenty of time to get the new players the manager wants, before training starts and the new season begins.

  • there is 2 weeks and 3 days until pre season starts if everyone is not in place by then we have a serious problem

  • Why is it that every player associated with Chelsea move have to cost more than £50m and yet other teams find their targets far below that amount?

  • @Muleya1 – because we set that precedent with Fernando Torres. Our owner and board when crazy with a “kid in a candy shop” mentality. Ever since, we have been expected to dish out for even mediocre players.

  • I think this report was refuted by sky sports & other sources. That Conte was very happy with Chelsea & will arrive back in time for pre season. Soon the mail & other tabloids that jump at any small chance to disrupt CFC will shamelessly take down their bs as if it didn’t emanate from them in the 1st place. Mtcheeeeeeeww!!!

BREAKING: Antonio Conte committed to @ChelseaFC & happy at club after reports he was disappointed with lack of signings -Sky sources. #SSNHQ

  • Someone on WAGNH has also pointed out that we might be waiting to unveil new signings once Nike kit is official.

  • Yeah @Kazuya there is an element of truth about that report as the waiting game i understand is deliberate. Here is a tip from ES pls……..”Chelsea have made their first signing of the summer but don’t plan to announce it until July 1.

Standard Sport understands that terms have been agreed with the player, but the club have decided to delay confirmation until the start of next month.

Chelsea are looking to make up to six transfers during the window, with players such as Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoue Bakayoko their main targets.
While the club wouldn’t confirm who they have acquired, it is believed the most likely candidate at this stage is former Manchester City keeper Willy Caballero.”

  • For the record most of our signings have come in July, the Nike kit deal could also be an issue .
