Antonio Conte is still track to bring the Premier League title back to Chelsea in his first season in charge.

Despite the shock defeat at against Crystal Palace on Saturday at Stamford Bridge Conte remains confident, as Chelsea prepare for the meeting with Manchester City this evening, on the chances of winning the title – as long as the players ‘keep the concentration.’

His news conference saw Conte quoted by Sky Sports.

‘It’s a very important part of the season for many teams, not only us. We have to continue working very hard in the same way, prepare in the right way for every game and keep the concentration.’

Conte again stressed Saturday’s defeat was unjust on Chelsea but knows ‘it can happen’ at times. But the boss doesn’t think he could have asked much more from his players at this stage.

‘But at this point I’m pleased because I’m always seeing a great commitment by my players. It can happen you can lose a game. I think we didn’t deserve to lose the game against Crystal Palace but football is wonderful also for this type of result.’

However, as much as Conte knows Chelsea are in a ‘really good position’ he did have a word of warning that ‘anything can happen’ – so there’s no room for complacency.

‘It’s normal that with 27 points available, anything can happen in the league, but we are in a really good position.’

Selection wise, as we know Conte will again turn to David Luiz despite confirming the Brazilian’s knee still isn’t right following the challenge on him from Sergio Aguero back in December – but the Italian said there’s no grudge being held.

Conte isn’t expecting Victor Moses to be fit, his toe injury forced him to miss Saturday’s defeat, for the game this evening.

‘I don’t know if Victor will be able to play tomorrow. We have another day to check the situation in the right way. We have a couple of situations to check and then make the best decision for the starting 11 tomorrow.’
