The manner in which Diego Costa was told that he was not part of Antonio Conte`s plans for next season was hardly text book stuff.

In fact it seemed to go against the grain as far as the likeable Italian is concerned.

There were fears, what with Diego Costa, seemingly, willing to share the text conversation with all and sundry, Antonio could be in hot-water with those who control Chelsea Football Club.

After all, success hasn`t been, in the past, enough for some managers to keep their jobs.

But it seems we`re all worrying about nothing, according to the journalists of the leading tabloid publication this nation of ours produces.

It`s being reported by The Sun that Antonio has accepted that he over-stepped the mark by breaking club protocol in the handling of the affair.

As a result, the manager, so our source informs us, has 100% backing from the board and will not be hauled in and given a dressing down by Roman Abramovich and Bruce Buck.
