The recent Ballon d`Or awards, held in Paris, saw Cristiano Ronaldo pick up his fifth such award.

However, he awards didn`t pass by without criticism.

Many of you thought that the fact that our very own Eden Hazard just sneaked into the top twenty as something akin to scandalous, even more so when you saw who had been selected ahead of him.

The top placed Premier League player was, on seventh place, our very own N`Golo Kante, reward for being the outstanding player in the Premier League last season.

But our very own Antonio Conte, wasn`t happy with seventh place for his midfield maestro, Antonio believed that Kante should have won it.

Indeed, in talking about the awards, Conte has revealed that if the coaches had voted for the winner then it would have been Kante and Ronaldo taking the glittering prize with our boss remarking, and as covered by the Express

“Honestly I don’t know if N’Golo Kante can win the Ballon d’Or in his life because of the characteristics of this player.

“But for me, he is the Ballon d’Or. For a coach Kante has to win, for every coach.”

Does Conte have a valid point?
