I`m seriously starting to believe that Antonio Conte will be the next manager of Chelsea Football Club.

There`s too much media smoke for there to be no fire.

Today, the good folk over at The Sun are reporting that Italian is set to hold more talks with Chelsea Football Club and the inference is being given that his appointment as our new boss could be confirmed as early as next week.

Conte, currently in charge of the Italian national side, is now considered to be Roman Abramovich`s first choice for the position and there is talk that the forty-six year-old Italian is after a three year deal said to be worth £6 million a season.

Although he is currently contracted to the Italian Football Association, his contract ends upon the completion of the forthcoming Euro 2016 Finals , in France, which would mean that if his appointment is confirmed, he wouldn`t be joining Chelsea until July, leaving just a month or so before the new Premier League season starts.

We await, poised, to see how the situation develops.
