Of course, the Italian undoubtedly had the better World Cup opener as he pulled up his Super Mario impression perfectly last night as the Three Lions were put to the sword by the impressive Andre Pirlo-led Azzurri, but whilst we are left to ponder what might have gone so wrong for Roy Hodgson’s team – after all Raheem Sterling and the rest all played well while succumbing to what is only our third World Cup opener defeat since the 1-2 and 0-1 reverses to Hungary and Portugal in 1962 and 1986 respectively, in 14 tournament appearances – or if Wayne Rooney is already past his peak as claimed by former Man United teammate Paul Scholes, can we also as Chelsea fans take a semblance of a prognosis as to what to expect of the impending Chelsea career of Diego Costa’s and that of, say, Arsenal target Mario Balotelli?

So for you, Costa or Balotelli, or both? Who fits us better, even considering their injury history, age, experience, and the works?

Here’s hoping for a healthy debate from the Vital Chelsea fraternity this fine Sunday morning.
