Here at Vital Chelsea we`re eagerly awaiting the weekend.

With Saturday being July 1st, the day the new kit deal with Nike kicks in and with it also being the official opening of the transfer window, we`re hoping all the speculation relating to some transfer deals having been done and dusted is correct.

If so, one player we`re hoping is unveiled is the Juventus attacking full-back Alex Sandro.

Reports, which we`ve covered in articles, have suggested that Chelsea and Juventus have been in discussions over a suitable transfer fee for the 26-year-old, with a fee the other side of £60 million being mentioned.

However, whilst we`re all hopeful that a deal is done and dusted, there is speculation appearing in the media this morning, courtesy of the Daily Mail, implying that Chelsea may have late competition for the player.

Our referenced source is of the opinion that Paris Saint-Germain are poised to step in and try and acquire the services of the Brazilian international, surely we`re not going to lose Sandro this late in the day are we?
