Recent transfer tittle-tattle has seen the future of our Belgian keeper, Thibaut Courtois come under intense speculation.

Many perceive that the fact the 25-year-old hasn`t put pen-to-paper on a new deal as an indication that he could be heading back to Spain.

However, that, according to the goalkeeper, isn`t the case.

The Evening Standard carries a few comments from an interview that Thibaut gave to the news source VTM Stadion where he explains his contract situation in detail, remarking,

‘I want to take my time.

‘Of course there`s the situation with my children, but I`m happy here. I don`t see a reason why I wouldn`t sign a new deal.

‘There`s no pressure. I want to have an agreement before the end of season. With Chelsea, normally.

‘It`s not the right moment to make decisions. Not for me, not for Chelsea. The club know that too. In a few months we`ll sit around the table again.’

Are we take it Thibaut is staying then or does taking his time allow other opportunities to arise?
