Deal For Veteran Striker To Join Chelsea Continues To Gather Momentum

|

Okay, I admit it is a move I just don’t want to see happen, but I just get the feeling it will.

Speculation continues to generate column inches implying that the ageing Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain, is destined to become a Chelsea player.

The latest piece of speculation we’ve stumbled upon come courtesy of the Daily Mail, who are championing the suggestion that the 31-year-old is trying to force through a move to SW6, clearly viewing life in London as being far better than in Milan or Turin?

However, whilst AC Milan would be prepared to let the Argentine international leave, there is a stipulation that it won’t happen until they sign a replacement.

One name currently being bandied about by our quoted source is that of the Polish forward, Krzysztof Piatek, a 23-year-old currently on the books of Genoa.

Now, we’re not sure how good Piatek is, but someone of his age is surely what Chelsea should be looking for instead of a veteran gunslinger!

But, what do I know about football?
