With the end of the 2013 / 2014 season fast approaching there are, as we are all aware, numerous decisions to be made regarding the future of several of the playing staff.

One player who will be keen to get his future sorted out is Ryan Bertrand.

Currently on loan at Aston Villa, Bertrand is set to return to Stamford Bridge to decide where he`ll be plying his trade in the 2014 / 2015 season.

Talking about the future, Bertrand is quoted in the press, this morning, as having remarked,

“I`ll go back to Chelsea and if they want me to play then that would be great.”

“Should it be other options I suppose the ball is in their court.”

“It`s something we`ll sit down and talk about in the summer. At this stage in my career I need to be playing. I don`t want to be sitting on the bench next season.”

“I feel I`m more than ready. I deserve the chance to play there consistently, with the experiences I`ve had under numerous managers.”

“I`ve learnt from some of the best players at the highest level. The likes of Didier, JT, Lamps, Ash directly in my position.”

“I feel it`s my time. I`m 24, I`m looking forward to getting settled for the first time.”

What`s your view?

Is Bertrand, a hero of that night in the Allianz Arena, ready to inherit the left-back spot from Ashley Cole of will he be moved on this summer?
