Defensive Stalwart Heading Across London For A Career Swansong Move

|

This January, we have our suspicions that a loyal servant of Chelsea Football Club could be set to bid farewell.

According to the news source, the Mirror, Gary Cahill could be making the move from West London to East London with our referenced source suggesting that West Ham United are interested in acquiring his services.

Cahill, who has won every domestic honour possible, with Chelsea, has been unable to establish himself in the starting eleven this season with Maurizio Sarri switching to a back-four and preferring to utilise David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger as his referred central defensive duo.

At thirty-two years of age, Cahill isn’t prepared to just sit on the bench and hope for a few minutes of action and a move to West Ham could appeal to him.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d be gutted to see Cahill go but we’d totally understand his reasoning if he does decide to cut his ties with our club.

We’ll keep an eye out for any updates.
