The departure of Diego Costa is something that is starting to look as if it could get messy.

It has all the hallmarks of one of those difficult divorce cases when one partner refuses to co-operate until they get exactly what they want.

In Diego Costa`s case that is a return to Atletico Madrid.

According to the Daily Star, Diego is set to dig his heels in when it comes to leaving Stamford Bridge.

Although there has been, according to our source, interest from Serie A, in the form of AC Milan and Juventus, it appears that Diego only has eyes for a return from whence he came.

The idea of moving to Italy holds no appeal for the Brazilian born Spanish international striker.

Instead, Diego is preparing to dig his heels in and remain at Chelsea until he can secure a move back to Atletico Madrid.

If that means Diego remaining with Chelsea for the first-half of the season then so be it.

But, it`ll certainly be interesting to see how Antonio Conte handles such a delicate situation.

Would the Italian be prepared to use Diego in his squad or would he be an outcast training with the reserves?

Your thoughts on the above would be most welcome.
