Sat here in the editorial chair, I have no idea whether Diego Costa will be a Chelsea player come the start of the 2017 / 2018 season.

Since the offer from the Chinese Super League came in, the speculation relating to the Spanish international`s future has been plentiful.

However, if you believe what has been printed in the Daily Star, it would seem that although Diego is not that happy with life in London, he has no intention of breaking his contract with the club.

Our source carries the following remarks from Diego, remarks that read,

“I have another two years on my contract.

“I am always very honest with those close to me. I tell them that I am very happy at Chelsea.

“The club gives me a lot, the fans, the team-mates. I am in a team that is winning and that motivates me even more. Last season was not the best, not just for me but for other players and for Chelsea.

“This year I hope will be different, that we win titles. If you are in a team that is winning, you always want to stay for the allotted amount of time.

“I am happy at Chelsea, I am not necessarily saying that I am happy with my life in London, but that is something completely different. It has nothing to do with it.”

So what`s your verdict?

Do you believe Diego Costa will still be with Chelsea Football Club come the closure of the 2017 summer transfer window?
