Speculation continues to increase with reference to the future of Didier Drogba.

In fact it appears that it is fast becoming an almost weekly thing.

This time around there are several parties being mentioned!

First up are the Turkish outfit; Galalatasaray. Having, apparently, had an offer of a part-exchange plus £7 million rejected by Chelsea, one tabloid source infers that the Turkish club is keen to lure Drogba with a deal that would see the Ivorian £5 million a year. It adds the inference that Drogba, although we feel without any concrete foundation, is keen to move.

Second up are his former club Marseille, a club where, in one season, Drogba achieved almost legendary status. The French club are contemplating trying to take Drogba back to French football but luring Drogba would mean that the club would have to make some serious changes to their playing staff with the club president, Vincent Labrune, commenting in the media,

“The question is whether in terms of salary, I don`t mean the transfer, Marseille have the means for four years to pay Didier Drogba.”

“I answer ‘yes`. But we can`t afford 11 Didier Drogba`s. So is it possible? Yes, but in the case of departures.”

And lastly the inference from a third source implies that Chelsea are keen to talk to the Ivorian with a view to offering him a contract extension to stave off all this reported interest.

But, no doubt, things could have changed by this time next week!
