Eden Hazard Must Remain At Chelsea Despite The Doomsayers

|

Eden Hazard has been accused of not pulling his weight at certain times during this most fractious of seasons. Some would say that criticism has been unfair and after all Hazard is still Chelsea’s best player.

Signs yesterday, were of player still keen to pull on the blue shirt of Chelsea. Having scored the goal, he went straight off to the Chelsea supporters, gleefully patting the badge. With some player’s that’s an empty gesture, but let’s not forget, the Belgian has given us the best years of his career. Together we’ve reaped some handsome rewards.

Following the game, Hazard was keen to point out who the win was for.

“The fans showed great desire to push us. They are always good away; and they deserved this win. They are the 12th man, especially when you are 2-0 down. They keep screaming, they keep singing, so I think this victory today is for them.”

Playing in a team that are not quite on his level must be frustrating for Belgium’s captain. It needs more than one player to come to the party, there has to be a collective will to win, not a half-hearted one.

Roman Abramovich has to make sure Hazard remains at the club, he clearly has a lot of time for. The media would love our tricky winger to move away from Stamford Bridge. There’s no better way to fill a few column inches or TV punditry than with a full-on Chelsea meltdown. Hazard leaving would very much fit in with their anti-Chelsea narrative, but that’s a whole article on its own.
