Eintracht Frankfurt v Chelsea – Europa League Semi-Final 1st Leg – Name The Starting XI

|

With the 2018 / 2019 season approaching a close, Chelsea Football Club have a wonderful opportunity of reaching yet another European Final.

This Thursday evening Chelsea are in the wonderful German City of Frankfurt preparing to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of a two-legged semi-final in the Europa League.

The Europa League is a trophy that Chelsea last won back in 2-13 when a last-gasp winner, from Branislav Ivanovic, defeated Benfica.

Maurizio Sarri will be hoping that his side can edge a little close to the 2019 final, which is being held in Baku, enabling the Italian a chance to win his first major trophy since entering the realms of football management.

As usual, we’re running our feature where we ask you to second guess the Italian and predict the starting eleven, he will opt for.

We suspect that Antonio Rudiger will miss the game after injuring the same knee, at Old Trafford, that recently saw him side-lined.

We also believe that Olivier Giroud, Chelsea’s top-scorer in the Europa League, will start.

But that’s all the help we’re going to give you.

To participate, simply drop the names of the eleven you believe Sarri will start with in the comment facility beneath this article and we’ll see who gets the closest.
