FA Cup Final – Mix and Match

|

The 2018 FA Cup Final is almost upon and the chance to seek some kind of redemption for what was, in all honesty, a poor defence of our 2016 / 2017 Premier League title.

To get the ball rolling in what will be a constant stream of articles related to the showpiece final, we’ve decided to resurrect something that we have dallied with in the past.

We want you to exercise that old grey matter and select a combined Chelsea / Manchester United side with the stipulation that you must select 6 players from one side and 5 from the other.

It’s something that you may like to mull over for a while before deciding to place your option in the comments facility beneath this article.

Which of those who wear blue do you feel are better than their red counterparts?

What formation would you opt for your team to play?

Does the team have the correct balance?

Three interesting questions that might dictate your selection.

However, as the editor of Vital Chelsea, I’ll get the ball rolling and stick my head above the proverbial parapet by selecting the following starting eleven:

De Gea (United), Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Cahill (Chelsea), David Luiz (Chelsea), Alonso (Chelsea), Kante (Chelsea), Matic (United), Pogba (United), Hazard (Chelsea), Lukaku (United), Sanchez (United)

Right, who is next?
