That was more like it Chelsea!

The desire, the passion and that will to win was back.

Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte was able to welcome back N`Golo Kante and it allowed the boss to push Cesc Fabregas further upfield allowing him to do what he does best, produce telling passes, open up defences and create chances.

The Spaniard was immense today and fully deserved the standing ovation he was given when he was substituted late in the game.

After the dust had settled on a fantastic game, Cesc had this to say to Sky Sports, about the game,

‘We had plenty of chances, especially in the first half but we could have killed it off in the second half. It was maybe a little bit more open than expected.

‘We prepared for the game in a way we know how they like to defend. We had more possession than usual which is something for me we have been lacking but we had the personality to play. It is fantastic to defend well but this is a team full of fantastic players and we need to take advantage of that.

‘We played like a big team, defended like a big team and we have to be proud.’

Tonight we do and Cesc Fabregas, in my opinion, was the man-of-the-match by a country mile.
