For Chelsea To Lose One Star This Summer Would Be Sad But To Lose Two Would Be Devastating

|

Rumours and more rumours, don’t you just love them!

They are, after all, the bread-and-butter of the media world.

Some rumours can be uplifting, some can be depressing and some, in all honesty, can be just plain laughable.

Today, one rumour has surfaced, courtesy of the tabloid publication, the Sun, which has picked up on something in the French media, inferring that Paris Saint-Germain are mulling over the possibility of making a bid, this summer, for our midfielder, N’Golo Kante.

Now, prior to the start of this season, I’d have suggested any chance of the 27-year-old leaving would have been very remote.

The Frenchman has often given the impression that he is happy where he is.

However, I’m not so sure now.

The decision made by Maurizio Sarri to play Jorginho in the holding role, thereby pushing Kante out into a right-sided midfield position, could have changed things.

Whilst Kante has towed the party line and hasn’t made any verbal objections, could the chance of a move and a return to the position where many rate him as the best in the world, be enticing?

Furthermore, to see Eden Hazard leave this summer would be heart-breaking, but to see N’Golo Kante follow him would be devastating.

Could Chelsea recover from losing the best two players in their side?
