Behind the scenes, one of the forgotten men of Chelsea Football Club is doing his utmost to regain full fitness.

After suffering an interior cruciate ligament injury in January whilst on international duty with Ghana, Baba Rahman is hoping to be back in action before the end of the year.

However, whether Rahman will be integrated into Antonio Conte`s squad or not remains open to debate.

The 23-year-old, who was signed from the Bundesliga outfit, Augsburg, for £14 million back in the 2015 / 2016 season, is the subject of a piece of transfer speculation this weekend.

Lurking in the pages of the Italian news source calciomercato is the insinuation that the Italian side, Fiorentina, are interested in signing the player who has struggled to make an impression at Chelsea and who has spent considerable time on loan at Schalke.

Our source goes on to infer that transfer relationships between Fiorentina and Chelsea are good with the clubs doing business back in 2016 which saw Marcus Alonso make the switch to Chelsea Football Club.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we`ll keep an eye out for any further developments on the speculation.
