It would appear that somebody who wore our shirt not too long ago almost made a return to London on transfer deadline day.
The player in question being Andre Schurrle.
Currently on the books of Borussia Dortmund, the 26-year-old almost, according to the popular tabloid publication, The Sun, almost joined West Ham United.
Since being sold by Chelsea, Schurrle has spent time with Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund but his time at Borussia Dortmund hasn`t been the best spell of his career.
Last season Schurrle made just eight appearances for the Bundesliga side.
A return to London, with West Ham United, would have seen the Hammers take Schurrle on loan with a view to making the move permanent for a fee said to be around the £26 million.
Whilst at Chelsea, Schurrle tended to blow hot and cold, one game great and the next poor, but it would have been interesting to see the player back in the Premier league.
