I caught an interesting news item on twitter that Roman is prepared to offer an insane 22million dollars yearly salary to Pep for the Chelsea job.

While baffled to what Pep could possibly do to justify this huge amount, I can’t put it past our Roman to come up with this type of move / news. (Torres comes to mind).

That Roman can go to any length to get what he wants is no longer news to Chelsea fans but I can see a silver lining in this whole episode.

If Roman gets Guardiola, one of the key things I suspect, hope, and pray he asks for would be to have total control of the club. Players, transfers, etc.

While Guardiola’s transfer policies do not actually fill me with great excitement (he has had some poor ones most noticeably the Eto`o + cash / Ibra foolishness), it would still be a welcome development in my opinion to the mad house policy currently on display at the Bridge.

I seriously doubt that Pep would give Torres more than a few games before benching the joker for good. And I am also hoping that if forced to choose between Pep and Torres, Pep would win out. But then, one never knows with Roman.
