With Rafa the Gaffer walking on very unsteady ground, having already confirmed he is leaving in May, the former Chelsea favourite, Gus Poyet, has stepped forward with a few words relating to his own ambition.

Gus, doing a decent job down at Brighton and Hove Albion, attempting to lead them out of the Championship, has confirmed that he`d fancy taking over the Chelsea managerial reigns, remarking in the aftermath of Rafa`s outburst,

‘That is my aim, everyone knows and I don’t hide it. I want to go to the highest level and if it is in the Premier League with Chelsea then fantastic, if it is with someone else, then we shall see.’

Could Gus be the man or does he need some more experience?
