There was one moment, over a the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris, where a glimpse of the old Eden Hazard returned.

Collecting the ball, the Belgian scampered away down the right-flank in the manner we`d come to expect last season.

It was something that Guus Hiddink noticed and at his pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Manchester City in what has all the prospects of being a thrilling FA Cup 5th round tie, Guus spoke about the troubled Belgian who has been a shadow of the player we all witnessed last season with Hiddink remarking,

‘Hazard was in a difficult situation but he has to step up.

‘We have had some small talks. I hope he will do it soon.

‘I remember once he had a sprint on our right hand side [against Paris St-Germain]. That’s the old Hazard and we hope to see that more frequently.’

Guus also moved quickly to dispel any rumours about Hazard or his family being unsettled by confirming the Belgian and his family are happy with life in England.

Will this Sunday be the occasion for Eden to get his confidence and form back and produce a match-winning display?
