After the long wait, the 2018 / 2019 Premier League season kicks off, for Chelsea, at the traditional time of 15:00 hours this Saturday.

For the opening fixture, Chelsea venture north to take on Huddersfield Town.

All eyes will be on how our new boss, Maurizio Sarri, starts his Premier League career with Chelsea.

The pre-season friendly fixtures, with Chelsea waiting for the return of some of those who participated in the recent World Cup, have given very little away with respect to the form the team is in.

With a new manager in charge, it is realistic to expect it to take some time for the side to adapt to Sarri’s way of thinking, but time is precious in the Premier League and defeats are unforgiving.

As we contemplate the first fixture of the season, we’re asking you to second guess the starting eleven Sarri will opt for.

Will Kepa make a debut for Chelsea?

Will Kante and Hazard start after their World Cup exertions?

Will Morata keep his place at the heart of the strike force?

Three questions you may want to ponder over as you seek to second guess Sarri’s team and drop it into the comments facility beneath this article.

  • kepa will make his debut come this Saturday, Kante and Hazard will start from the bench and Morata will start

  • Without doubt kepa will start the game, back four is Luiz,Rudiger,Azpilicueta Alonso, middle is Kante Jogihno,Fabrigas, attack is Hazard giroud and Willian.

  • Whatever the starting eleven may be, I don’t think Barkley still has the potential of being in the starting XI…take a look at our last match against Lyon he made no successful pass, it really sucks..would prefer kovacic with immediate effect since Loftus cheek is no more around

  • GK
    kepa 13

    luiz 30
    rudiger 2

    azpilicueta 28
    Alonso 3

    jorjinho 5

    kante 7
    kovacic ?

    willian 22

    hazard 10 captain

    morata 29

  • This is the most uninspiring Chelsea team and manager for many years. Reminds me of the commenters on this site.

  • What does “comment no way” mean? Does anyone understand that sentence-ish fragment? Anyone at all?
