As he spoke his left eyebrow went up to North London and came back. Thus spoke the Italian reinforcing his opinion by concluding that his squad was fantastic and it was all a bad moment.
And the forums went haywire.
He was called a clueless clown, tactically inept. Sorry for taking a bit of poetic license, had this been Carlo, this would have been the reaction. But considering it came from the new man, who hasn’t had time to assess the squad. I think these were the words we wanted to hear.
Never mind Manchester United rushing to sign up the players. Sir Alex has just refurbished his squad, no not from the youth team, by buying from Aston Villa, Atletico and Blackburn. I guess he will go Charlton next (alphabetically).
A few weeks back I wrote in to say that without a manager buying would be a big liability and AVB has just confirmed that. Even the official site says ‘Purchases on Pause’.
I think we’re looking at a couple of week`s time wherein which AVB would be able to see exactly where he needs additions and where he doesn’t. I am particularly happy because this is the first time I have heard from our ‘manager’ commenting on transfers.
All we used to get from Carlo was, well nothing really. This would hopefully be a slap in the face of people who think that AVB would not have any power at the Bridge.
Maybe I think Roman’s realized that he needs to give the man the power he wants to make Chelsea the Club that he wants to be. For now, lets just enjoy Wenger trying to save pennies.
