An interesting title you might think!

Arising from my slumber this morning, I stumbled across an e-mail left in the Vital Chelsea account form a valued Chelsea member, Aare Anjolaƈ, which contained a mini-article that is reproduced below:

“Like the average football fan would do almost every day; I was surfing the net to check for footie news when I came across an headline from Daily and Sunday Express that read :

‘I can’t understand why Bakayoko plays ahead of these two stars’ – Ian Wright.

I decided to click on the news link to see the names of the two stars that are been kept out of the team unjustly because of Bakayoko and what I found left me dumbfounded or should I say stupified because the names were that of Pedro and Willian.

In the words of Ian Wright

‘I can’t understand how he can get in the team before Willian and Pedro at the moment.”

This incidence and that of many others has got me thinking of what the criteria might be before someone is selected to be a pundit.”

Which in turn got me around to thinking, which of the plethora of TV pundits offering their views is your favourite and which is your least liked?

Please feel free to leave your opinions in the comments facility beneath this account.

  • I am not sure Wright knew what he was saying for obvious reasons; They do not play in the same positions
Bakayoko is a CM/DMbut Willian and Pedro are AM.

  • Much like this site, his handlers probably understand that there is no such thing as bad press. Whether it’s gold standard, or daily controversy, it’s all about getting people to hit your site. Even if you have to say something nasty. Or stupid.

  • Ian Wright, and the dogging specialist Collymore, Its amazing when some of these guys hang up their boots, you get to see how thick some of them are .

  • This is exactly why I don’t click on every link I come across online. I don’t think I have favourite among these pundits.

  • Thanks Uncle Merlin for helping me with this piece,I’m humbled(especially with the way you’ve improved the whole thing).Talikng of my favourite pundit;I don’t think I have any cos I believe some comments are made just to the benefit of their employers through internet traffic and views.I sometimes doubt the sincerity and sanity of some of their comments

  • Ian’s comments were very annoying to say the least. Why does he think he knows more about Chelsea players than Conte? From my limited observation, Bakayoko is a ball winner while Willian is a moody player and Pedro is totally different from Baka. What is his problem about Chelsea?

  • I think he’s been drinking the same stuff as Wilkins. “My word! Why did Chelsea sell Matic to United, it’s like Barcelona selling Messi to Real”…in all seriousness, really wish that the creep would shut up with his pro United agenda along with the media. The Chelsea fans know the truth. Ignore the media.
