This season, with Chelsea having played six games in total, five in the Premier League and one in the Europa League, Maurizio Sarri has been selective as to who has worn the captains’ armband, with Willian being the latest player to be given the honour, away to PAOK.

Last season, Gary Cahill was the captain of the side, under Antonio Conte.

This season, we’ve already seen Cesar Azpilicueta and Willian wear the armband whilst it has also been inferred that Eden Hazard could be given the honour on a permanent basis, as part of an enticement to see the Belgian commit to a long-term Chelsea future.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d like your opinion on who you believe should be given the honour in our latest poll:

As the editor, I’m definitely interested as to who gets the most votes.

Personally, I’d opt for Cesar Azpilicueta, the Spaniard always gives 100% and is often seen handing out some verbal advice to those around him.
