If This Is Chelsea’s Priority Signing Then We Are In A Bad Place

|

It’s a move that, to be fair, is one that has split the Vital Chelsea fraternity.

Some of our readers would welcome the addition of the Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain to our squad whilst others see it is as something of a foolish move with the player being the wrong side of thirty and having no experience of a hectic and fiercely combative Premier League at all.

However, despite our reservations, it would appear that a deal is still on the cards.

Our associates at the Express, are running with the implication that Higuain’s representatives are in talks with Chelsea, something confirmed by the AC Milan manager, Gennaro Gattuso.

Furthermore, and more worryingly, the tabloid publication, the Sun, is championing the suggestion that Chelsea want to take Higuain on loan for the remainder of the season and that the 31-year-old Argentine remains Chelsea’s priority for this transfer window.

Oh, dear me!

Gone are the days of Hernan Crespo, Didier Drogba and Diego Costa to name but three, now we’re plunging headfirst into bringing in a striker whose parent club, Juventus, felt fit to palm out on loan.
