In Our View, Chelsea Are Fighting A Losing Battle To Keep Eden Hazard And They Have Only Themselves To Blame

|

There’s a week to go before the new Premier League starts and just a matter of just over four days before the summer transfer window slams shut.

On the evidence of what we witnessed against Manchester City, in the Community Shield, our chances of winning the Premier League are zilch.

Although both sides were missing some star names, the gap between the two sides looked wider than ever.

Furthermore, there is the inherent danger that early this week, we could get the news we’ve feared all summer, namely, Eden Hazard is set to leave the club, to pursue his dream of playing for Real Madrid.

Already, in the last forty-eight hours, we’ve covered, Click Here, how Chelsea are looking to tempt Hazard into staying by offering the Belgian a cool £300,000 a week.

But, is it about just the money?

Not too long ago, when speculation of a move to Real Madrid first broke, Hazard, gave an insight into what was needed to keep him at Stamford Bridge, remarking, and as covered by the news source, inews

“I’m waiting for new players next season. You know. We’ll see. I want good players because I want to win next season the Premier League. A lot of things, then we will see.”

Well, so far, Chelsea have signed just Jorginho, a far cry from the criteria above, to me, it seems as if we’re fighting a losing battle.

Is that how you perceive the situation?
