Robert Huth, despite only being a squad player at Chelsea is dominating a fair few column inches lately.

After suggesting he?d be open to a move before next season, Wigan were the first to declare their interest. According to our sources, Chelsea accepted the offer of £5.5 million and Huth spoke to representatives from Wigan, albeit over the phone. However, since then there have been further developments.

After looking to showcase his talents in the World Cup in his home country, Huth is now in danger of missing some of the tournament after picking up an ankle injury in a recent friendly international.

Robert twisted the ankle and was withdrawn at half time and now awaits the results of the scan that will be carried out to confirm any damage. Meanwhile, back home, Everton have apparently joined the chase for the young German international and are keen to secure his services.

After signing Andy Johnson, from Crystal Palace, the Toffees seem intent on pursing Robert and are believed to have met the asking price. Despite Wigan?s amazing debut in the Premiership last season, you cannot help but feel that a move to Everton would be far more enticing for Huth.

However, once again we?ll stick our heads above the parapet and predict that Robert will ignore offers to remain in the Premiership and instead will opt for a spell in the Bundesliga.
