No! Not in the manner in which Thomas Hitzlsperger did, heavens above!

I mean is it safe to open my friend door without fear of being interned?

The continuing rumours, doing the rounds, insisting that Roman Abramovich, because he`s a close friend of Vladimir Putin, should have his assets seized after Putin`s annexing of Crimea, may have ramifications for me.

I`ll expand shall I?

You see, me and Roman have history, we`ve socialised together on more than one occasion, there`s even photographic proof that we`re not complete strangers.

The first time I met Roman was at a very limited and exclusive bash after the wonderful Gianfranco Zola bid farewell to Chelsea Football Club. A dinner took place in the West Stand at which I made his acquaintance.

The second time was at the ‘Butchers Hook` when Chelsea held an exclusive bash to celebrate their centenary and once again our paths crossed.

Now whilst they might be about, if some got their way, to seize Roman`s assets, I`ve none to seize, so perhaps they might just seize me, hence the question – is it save to come out?

(Even more so with some shifty looking blokes sat on the wall opposite my humble abode!)
