It Could Have Been Tottenham But It Is More Likely To Be Aston Villa

|

The future of our young striker, Tammy Abraham, continues to generate column inches in the media.

The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Swansea City having spent the previous season at Bristol City, is expected to be sent off on another loan spell this season.

However, it is being reported, by the news source, Goal, that, when the summer transfer window was open, the player was the subject of a £25 million bid from another Premier League club, with that club being none other than our North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

Thankfully, the England international wasn’t off-loaded to the club from N17.

Instead, according to the local news source, the Birmingham Mail, it is looking extremely likely that Abraham will be linking up with Steve Bruce, at Aston Villa.

Aston Villa have until the end of the month to conclude a loan deal and our source infers it will be finalised soon.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we see another season out on loan as something beneficial to Abraham. At Swansea City, last season, the player had a disappointing time trying to make an impact in the Premier League playing for a side that struggled to create chances for him.

A return to Championship football, to a club that just missed out on regaining their Premier League status last season, losing to Fulham in the Play-Off Final, could be just what Abraham needs to get back to the prolific scoring ways he demonstrated whilst on that aforementioned loan spell at Ashton Gate.
