It Has Finally Happened And With Our Blessing Too

|

The only surprise about the announcement of Alvaro Morata’s loan move to Atletico Madrid is that it took so long.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d long given up any hopes of the Spaniard resurrecting a career at Stamford Bridge that saw the striker score just 16 times in 47 Premier League games.

His recent on-pitch demeanour suggested that the player was yearning to get away from the club and now he has gotten his wish.

Morata, as confirmed by the BBC, has joined the La Liga side on an 18-month loan deal and has heralded his move by remarking:

“I’m very happy and proud to be here. I can’t wait to start training, meet my new team-mates and play.”

Naturally, social media hasn’t waited long to announce the move:

Here at Vital Chelsea, as we said earlier, a parting of the ways was always on the cards but, with it only being a loan spell, is there any chance of Morata, in eighteen months-time, making a return to Stamford Bridge having matured as a goal-scorer?

I’d be surprised, no amazed, if that were the case, it’ll be more of a case of haggling going on with regards to how much of a transfer fee Chelsea will receive for the player.
