It Might Be Another Loan Deal As Opposed To A Sale For One Of Chelsea’s Brazilian Contingent

|

Last season, as you are all well aware, Kenedy spent much of the season on loan at Newcastle United.

The loan spell, for the Brazilian, was very productive with the 22-year-old getting the regular first-team football he needs at this stage of his career.

Now, with a new season approaching, speculation is rife that Kenedy is set to return to St James Park.

However, according to the local north-east media vehicle, the Chronicle, the proposed deal might not see Kenedy leave Chelsea on a permanent basis.

The suggestion being that the two clubs are in discussions which would see the player spend the 2018 / 2019 season on loan at St James Park.

In fact, it appears the only hold-up, at the moment, according to our source is the size of the loan fee.

Which to us, here at Vital Chelsea, is a little puzzling.

At 22-years-of-age, surely Kenedy should be at the stage of his career where those in charge at Chelsea are confident he can secure a future for himself at Stamford Bridge or have determined the opposite.

Whilst accepting that a loan fee is financially beneficial to the club, even more so when you consider the plethora of players Chelsea continues to send out on loan each summer, does there not come a time when a firm decision has to be made on the futures of certain players?
