With Antonio Conte`s previous job now vacant, following the axing of Giampiero Ventura from the post for failing to qualify for the World Cup in Russia next summer, it seems that our boss is a wanted man.

The Italian news source, Gazzetta Dello Sport, is reporting that he president of the Italian Football Federation, Carlo Tavecchio, is keen for Antonio Conte to return to Italy as the national coach.

When pressed on who he`d like as the new Azzurri coach, Tavecchio remarked,

“Allegri, Mancini, Ancelotti… I say getting warmer.
‘And Conte? Fire.’

A clear indication as who the Italian Football Federation see as the man to return them to past glories.

Our front-page poll asks a very pertinent question relating to Antonio Conte`s Chelsea future, could the lure of the Italian job be the perfect escape route or will Antonio stick around to finish the job he`s started at Stamford Bridge?

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be most appreciated in our comments facility.
