Just How Good A Start Will Frank Lampard’s Chelsea Get Off To?

|

At long last, the new season, the 2019 / 2020 season, is almost upon us.

It’s been a strange old summer, the two-window transfer ban resulted in Chelsea not featuring in the speculation as to who clubs might be buying but it’s fair to say that the appointment of Frank Lampard, as the new head-coach, certainly generated a plethora of mainstream media column inches.

To put it politely, the appointment has resulted in the eyes of the media world focussing on Frank with the press vultures ready to pounce if our legend shows any signs of not being up to the job.

For the Chelsea support, it was a dream appointment, it’s almost as if the appointment of Frank has given the club it’s heart back, even more so with Frank’s backroom tea including Petr Cech, Jody Morris, Claude Makelele and Carlo Cudicini.

Frank must get off to a good start, although the fixture computer could have been kinder when it came to our opening fixture, but, as they say, you have to play them all.

For the record, our first three fixtures are:

• Manchester United (a)
• Leicester City (h)
• Norwich City (a)

a mixed bag, but, and this is where you come in, how many points do you believe Chelsea will accumulate from those first three fixtures?

Simply drop your prediction in the comment facility and we’ll see how this one pans out.
