Just How Old Is Too Old To Go Out On Loan

|

That age-old question has emerged again courtesy of the announcement that yet another Chelsea player has gone out on loan.

However, it might be stretching the boundaries of realism if we were to describe this player as young.

Tomas Kalas, who has been on the books of Chelsea since 2010, is set to spend the 2018 / 2019 season in the Championship, with Bristol City.

It will be the sixth time Kalas has gone out on loan, previously, in recent times, he has spent the last two seasons at our West London neighbours, Fulham.

Whilst at Craven Cottage be made seventy-six appearances helping our neighbours to navigate their way back into the Premier League.

However, it appears our neighbours from down the road, don’t consider Tomas to be good enough for the Premier League.

But, at 25-years-of-age, Chelsea seem reluctant to lose the player on a permanent deal and have opted for a loan deal again.

Quite why remains a mystery, surely it is time to cut those apron strings now!
