Young Tomas Kalas may have been sent out on loan to Middlesbrough for the coming season but it does seem as if Chelsea want to tie the player to Stamford Bridge for a while.

Today it has been announced that the Czech U21 international has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year contract at Chelsea Football Club.

Kalas is definitely a player for the future but one who has already made his senior debut.

The defender made his debut in the 2-0 League Cup triumph, at the Emirates Stadium, against Arsenal in October 2013 and made his full Chelsea debut later the same season, against Liverpool at Anfield in April 2014.

Here at Vital Chelsea we`d like to congratulate Tomas on his new deal and wish him well whilst he`s on loan at Middlesbrough this coming season.
