If Izzy Brown was the 17th Chelsea player to be loaned out ahead of the 2017 / 2018 season, then, unless I`ve missed something, Tomas Kalas, must be the 18th after it was agreed the centre-back would re-join Fulham, for a second season-long loan.

Kalas, now 24-years-of-age, has only made four appearances for Chelsea since arriving from Sigma Olomouc. However, before opting for a second season-long loan spell at Craven Cottage, Kalas, like so many others this summer, also put pen to a new Chelsea contract, signing a four year deal.

Naturally Fulham will be delighted to get Kalas back as the defender made forty appearances for the Craven Cottage based side last season when their season ended at the Championship play-off stages.
Kalas will also be joining another Chelsea player at Craven Cottage with Lucas Piazon also having returned there for a second season on loan.

But, at 24-years-of-age, you have to question whether Kalas has a future at Stamford Bridge!
