Lampard Nets His First Big Award As Chelsea Boss

|

October was a good month for Chelsea Football Club when it came to performances on the pitch.

After a patchy start to the season, Frank Lampard steered his charges to a run of seven consecutive victories, in all competitions, before losing to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

Three of those victories came in October Premier League fixtures with Chelsea beating Southampton, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

As a result, those who make such decisions, saw fit to award Frank Lampard the Premier League Manager of the Month award with Frank beating the likes of Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City) and Graham Potter (Brighton) to the award

Talking about receiving this prestigious award, and as reported by The BBC, Frank had this to say:

“Winning an individual award like this, my first one at the club, is the perfect time to appreciate the close staff, who have worked so hard since pre-season, and the players, as they are the ones who go out and perform.

“I am delighted for everybody.”

Fine words from a fine boss who is proving that he, as we always hoped, the man for the Chelsea job.
