Lampard’s Surprise When It Comes To Which Area Of The Team He’d Like To Strengthen First

|

Last night, against Lille, Chelsea looked to be in total command of the game.

The Blues were 2-0 and cruising.

But a late goal from the former Chelsea striker, Loic Remy, left us all on edge.

Another goal, from the Belgian side, would, despite our domination, have seen us eliminated and dumped in the Europa League.

In all competitions, this season, Chelsea have conceded 33 goals in 22 games, suggesting that the defence, with the transfer-ban now history, should be the area Frank Lampard decides to improve in the January transfer window.

However, listening to Frank talking to the media and as reported by The BBC afterwards, it appears Frank is set to concentrate his efforts on scoring more goals, with the gaffer remarking:

“We have found a way in the team where we can still be competitive in the league and the Champions League and going forward you ask ‘can we get even better in forward areas to help us to be more clinical?’ We would always look at that.”

Are you in agreement with Frank, should we look to bring in someone who would make us more clinical in front of goal?
