Last Gasp Move Sees Chelsea Defender Head North For The Season

|

Yesterday, there was a great deal of speculation as to where Chelsea’s young French centre-back, Kurt Zouma, would be playing his football this coming season.

Earlier this week, it had been assumed that the 23-year-old would be heading to Everton, on a season-long loan deal.

But, yesterday, the inference was provided by the following news source, Lequipe, that Zouma might, possibly, be headed to Old Trafford, to join up with Jose Mourinho.

But, with the minutes to the transfer window closure ticking away, very little news was forthcoming.

However, right on the deadline, it emerged, and as confirmed by the Daily Mail, Zouma would indeed be spending the 2018 / 2019 season at Goodison Park, although the late nature of the deal means that confirmation of the move won’t be confirmed until this morning.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d like to wish Kurt all the best for the coming season but we must confess we’re a little puzzled as to why the defender hasn’t, following a decent season on loan at Stoke City last time out, been given a chance to impress at Chelsea this season.
