Last Night Could Have Changed Everything For This Chelsea Midfielder

|

Yesterday, the inference was given in the media that Chelsea could be set to lose one of the midfielders in their current squad.

According to The Sun, Juventus, managed by our former boss Maurizio Sarri, have set their sights on signing our Italian international midfielder Jorginho.

Now yesterday morning I’d have applauded such a deal.

Since the resumption of the COVID-19 affected season, the 28-year-old hasn’t had a look in when it comes to being awarded a place in the starting XI.

However, I went to bed last night, after Chelsea’s nerve-wracking 3-2 win having totally changed my mind.

Despite leading 3-2 against Crystal Palace, our midfield was being overrun with it looking to be only a matter of time before the home side equalised.

But the introduction of Jorginho, as a substitute, totally changed the complexion of the game.

Jorginho controlled the game, always being available to be given the ball and distributing it with ease, something the Chelsea midfield hadn’t done since going 3-1 up.

Now I don’t know why Jorginho has been held back and not given match-time, although I suspect it might be because there is a transfer being discussed and an injury would scupper it, but oN the evidence of what we saw yesterday should Frank Lampard be considering changing his mind?

Please feel free to air your views on the Jorginho situation in the comment facility beneath this article.

I want him out. Despite his excellent passing skills, when he comes to defending, is no way for me. Lampard knows what he is doing. When Kanye isn’t in our Middle, it looks ordinary. Even with his introduction , d Middle was over run by crystal palace. We were very fortunate yday. He Chelsea ca get good bargain for for him, let him go

I don’t know why Frank isn’t picking jorginho but it’s clear that he’s needed in that possession I think Frank just doesn’t see the value of the player maybe he’s been sold already. Shame

Jorginho is just an excellent player who controls the mildfield. He always has an eye on the next pass & his pass about 80% is correct. Despite that sometimes, he is out run when the opponent presses hard into our half. There and then he becomes irrelevant

Better we sell him.Great on passes and position keeping. But that is all that defines his game.he can’t do most important aspect of DM.protecting back four when under constant pressure he succumbs to erratic mistakes that cost us games.Take a leaf from kante or Gilmour game at its best and u know what i mean.
