Marcus Alonso Goal Sends Frank Lampard Into Unchartered Territory

|

Something about the club that you may not have realised, an occasional series but one that may see you surprised.

On Saturday, a 1-0 win, against Newcastle United, saw Chelsea Football Club, much to the delight of their supporters, climb into a top-four position in the Premier League.

But, with Chelsea riding high, did you know the win was a special milestone in the managerial career of Frank Lampard.

It was, in fact, the first time that Frank Lampard has won FIVE successive matches in his managerial career, with the role of honour reading:

• Lille 1 Chelsea 2
• Southampton 1 Chelsea 4
• Chelsea 1 Newcastle United 0
• Chelsea 2 Brighton and Hove Albion 0
• Chelsea 7 Grimsby Town 1

The next three matches, all in different competitions, see Chelsea face some stiff opposition:

• Ajax – Champions League (a)
• Burnley – Premier League (a)
• Manchester United – Carabao Cup (h)

Now wouldn’t it be an achievement if Frank could extend that run!
