Tonight, Chelsea welcome the Ukrainian side, Dynamo Kiev, to Stamford Bridge for the first leg of a Europa League knockout tie.
For the winners of the two-legged tie, a place in the quarter-finals awaits.
With the Europa League winners getting a place in the Champions League, next season, the incentive is there for Chelsea to do their utmost to win it, plus it is the only piece of silverware we have a chance of winning this season.
The bookmakers, despite Chelsea’s fluctuating form, make Chelsea the favourites to win the 2019 Europa League, with the final being held, in May, in Baku.
As is the norm, we’re running our Match Day Moments feature where we encourage you to leave, in the comment section beneath this article, your opinion on a variety of subjects including, but not limited to:
1 – The build-up to the game at Stamford Bridge.
2 – The starting eleven selected by Maurizio Sarri.
3 – The action as it happens at Stamford Bridge on what looks like it’ll be a wet and windy evening.
4 – Your thoughts in the immediate aftermath of the final whistle sounding.
Hopefully, it’ll be Chelsea who leave the pitch with big smiles on their faces.
