Chelsea are back in action this Wednesday evening in the Champions League.

Our opponents in the fifth of six games played in the group stage, are FK Qarabag, a club who are based in Azerbaijan.

The long trek east means that the game will kick-off at 17:00 hours UK time.

A win for Chelsea will mean qualification for the knockout stages.

However, if Chelsea are to get that win they`ll need to improve on the form they showed in their last Champions League fixture when they were soundly beaten, 3-0, by Roma.

As usual, we`re running our Match Day Moments feature whereby we actively invite you to leave your views on a variety of subjects including, but not limited to,

1 – The build-up to the game.

2 – The starting eleven selected by Antonio Conte.

3 – The action as it happens thousands of miles away in Azerbaijan.

4 – Your thoughts in the period between the final whistle sounding and the match report appearing on this web site.

Let`s hope we get the win we need to qualify for the knockout stages with a game to spare.

  • Qarabag have proved to be a difficult team at home, field a full strength team, get a comfortable lead then start making substitutions in preparation for our trip north on Saturday. That?s the plan anyway.

  • Chelsea XI: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Rudiger, Zappacosta, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso, Willian, Hazard, Pedro.

  • Very attack minded lineup. I am hoping we wrap this up early so we can give some of the boys some rest…

  • Chelsea: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Rudiger, Zappacosta, Fabregas, Kante, Willian, Alonso, Pedro, Hazard.

Subs: Caballero, Drinkwater, Morata, Bakayoko, Cahill, Christensen, Sterling.

  • WAGNH: Chelsea go back to the 3-4-3 and start the three smalls up top with Batshuayi absent through injury. David Luiz and Rüdiger rotate back in while young Dujon Sterling makes the bench.

  • Standard.co.uk: Antonio Conte has rested several senior players as Chelsea chase the win that will secure their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

With an eye on Saturday?s trip to Liverpool Conte has opted to do without Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Andreas Christensen, whilst resorting to a 3-4-3 having used a five man midfield recently.

He has still retained a strong side for the game in Baku, with Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and N?Golo Kante among the starters

  • They’ve been packing the bus ‘ab initio’, now with one man & a goal down, it’s quite interesting how they will react.

  • Both Hazard & Luiz missed a clear header on goal, we could be 3-Nil up had same chance come the way of Morata.

  • Williannnnnnn 2-Nil Chelsea! What a beautiful interplay of passes:Fabregas-Willian-Hazard-Willian….. And a goal! BEAUTIFUL COMBINATION!
