Match Day Moments – Premier League – Everton (A)

|

It’s an early kick-off for Chelsea today when they take on Everton, at Goodison Park.

I’ve never been a fan of these 12:30 kick-offs, especially when they involve the necessity for the away support to travel the length of the country.

However, as we all know, television pays the money and dictates such things.

Chelsea approach this game buoyed by the midweek win over Aston Villa and the news that the transfer ban has come to a premature end.

Everton, on the other hand, are a club in crisis. Following a bad run of form, they axed their manager, Marco Silva, in midweek and have appointed their former striker, Duncan Ferguson, on a caretaker basis.

But, despite the turmoil, I fully expect Everton to be stiff opposition this lunchtime and push Chelsea all the way.

As usual, we’re running our Match Day Moments feature where we invite you to participate by leaving your views on a variety of subjects including, but not limited to:

1 – The build-up to the big game.

2 – The starting eleven named by Frank Lampard.

3 – The action as it happens at Goodison Park.

4 – Your thoughts in the immediate period that follows the sounding of the final whistle.

Here’s hoping we’re all smiles by the time the remainder of the Premier League games kick-off at the traditional time of 15:00 hours this afternoon.
