After another successful dalliance with the Europa League, on Thursday evening, Chelsea return to Premier League action this afternoon when they welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge.

The narrow win, in Belarus, against Bate Borisov, ensured that Maurizio Sarri’s team remain the only unbeaten team, in all competitions, in the big-five European Leagues, a fine achievement.

This afternoon, Chelsea could go to the top of the table if they beat Everton and then, in the later game, Manchester United triumph at the Etihad Stadium against their rivals Manchester City.

As is the norm, we’re running our Match Day Moments feature where we invite you to participate by leaving your views on a variety of subjects including, but not limited to:

1 – The build-up to the big game.

2 – The starting eleven selected by Maurizio Sarri.

3 – The action as it happens at Stamford Bridge.

4 – Your thoughts in the immediate period that follows the final whistle.

Fingers crossed the unbeaten run remains intact and Chelsea add another win to their tally this afternoon.

Up the Chels.

  • We must not slip up at this stage. A goal will do.
Not watching…woke up to realize ive ran out of iptv subscription. Reconnection takes like forever.

  • And we drop points …. Which we could not afford to in such a tight race …. we were bad last 10-15 minutes , too many turnovers , poor passes… Now need to beat Spurs

  • We will play a lot worse than that and win games, like Thursday night for one. Football does that sometimes, it will do it to Shity and Pooh at some stage too, hopefully soon

  • The difference is that Man City play more as a team upfront and not driven by the desire to be the one to score even when there is your friend in a better position to tap in

  • Disappointing result. We need a striker like Drogba to keep momentum let alone overtake City and Liverpool.

  • Sarri needs to try different methods in training such as 2strikers, 3-2-5 etc. With so much possession, such tactics will help break down stubborn teams as games wind down.

  • To be honest I think Sarri needs to be very firm with his players. When you see some of those soft passes players try to make then you get the feeling that the atmosphere on the training ground is too relaxed. They need intensity throughout the game. It is now three unnecessary draws at home.

  • Disappointing but we didn’t loose which is a plus overall we never got behind them but on the plus sarri is very new to this league and he has done a job he will learn from this I agree with Zeenut we played a strong team against Thursdays opponents can’t say Barkley would have improved the situation players often get easily riled against their former team I would say we’re probably a couple of players short of the tittle but we’re well capable of top 4

  • maybe am blaming these europa league
much, but honestly that league is stressful especially to english teams, and the first 45 mins was a testimony to that, much like arsenal should or could have lost today cos of the same reason.but i know this team lack many things from full backs, wingers, striker, and sarri would need to learn this league and must rotate when he has proper players for it,both in the premier league and in the cups.

  • Three quarters of those players who were playing today were not even involved in the Europa game on Thursday, so I don’t think Europa game is an excuse. Looks like Sarri is more concerned about making his players happy at the expense of being serious with games. Do they even do shooting practice. Soon we shall start losing games at the rate we are going.

  • i know some didnt play or travel to bate borisov but that competition has a way of getting to the whole team, hazard didnt travel to paok but he played nothing at west ham in the first 45 mins,we eventually drew that match.we will still lose match(es)this season we have to be ready emotionally and not crucify the manager and team on that day,i hope we improve our wingers and strikers in the coming summer with one addition at the fullback.

  • My main concern is the rigidity of our manager, when you are looking for a goal the reasonable thing to do is to improve attacking options not defensively. The substitution of Gorginho should have seen Kante drop to his natural position and bring in Giroud. But the man is so fixed with his ideas of substitution.
